The 26th Futures Conference focused on the critical theme of the sustainability transformation. This fundamental shift will renew societal and economic systems and practices, while also enhances human agency, well-being and quality of life.

The conference was organised in collaboration with Sustainability Transformations Doctoral Education Pilot (SusTra) during 9–10 June 2026 in the University of Turku, Finland.

We were happy to host 320 participants from 43 different countries, representing all the continents of the world. The two intensive conference days consisted of three keynote lectures and six parallel sessions with nearly 50 tracks of different paper sessions and participatory workshops.

The special conference newsletter includes articles that provide insights into the keynote speeches and well as some of the sessions organised during the days.
